Born Alexander O Uwaifo, Andre Vibez was raised in the historic city of Benin, in Nigerias south south region, and began his musical career in his early teens as a keyboardist in his father, Sir Victor Uwaifo’s band.

Uwaifo Snr was a prominent Nigerian singer and performer from the early 1960’s , well known for classic hits such as Joromi and Mammy water”.

Additionally, he was the first African to earn a Gold Disc. In the years after he left his Father’s band, Andre Vibez began to devote more time to music production and soon established himself as a key figure in assisting young artists in his local community to hone their craft with notable beneficiaries including the then-young teen duo R” A ( now known as solo artists Rema and Alpha P) and numerous other emerging musicians and artists.
